#Throwback
Just as Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth would sit under the palm tree of Deborah judging Israel; Elder Adeyinka Rogers would sit back in his much revered fourplex as he receives couples, protégés, and family friends amongst others.

He often claims that wherever a king lives automatically becomes a palace; even if it’s deep down in a tight hole. He is so much imbued in his identity in Christ that the royal bloodline runs in his veins.

The life of a Christian he would say, ought to be more of practical than theoretical.

Omidan Wura had come on her quarterly visit to glean from her mentor’s wealth of wisdom.

Destiny brought them together two years ago; when her local church organized a seminar on marriage, relationships and family life.

Elder Adeyinka was the guest speaker. Amongst the so may church members there seated, it was as though the Elder came just because of her. She had never found such wisdom in her entire life!

While some were busy arranging refreshments and others dosing off due to the busy weekend activities, she sat in her chair taking in every detail as much as she could with her notepad fully engaged. She approached him after the seminar and requested mentorship which he gladly obliged - their relationship had since then grown from a mere mentor-protégé relationship, to a father-daughter relationship.

‘Daughter, glad to see you again’

‘The feelings is mutual, Dad’

‘You know, I am always thrilled when I hear about your great exploits. I say to myself, you are indeed made for a time as this’

‘I bless God for making our paths cross, Dad’

‘I am often challenged to do more by your exploits and rapid growth’

Yeah! That reminds me. Daddy, are you considering reaching out to the younger generations? I believe if the work starts from them, you would have fewer issues when they are fully grown and start up a family of their own.

‘Um…there’s much wisdom in that, my dear. But that’s why I labour wholeheartedly on daughters like you. Your agility and virility is still very much intact. Let me keep doing that while I release you as arrows are In the hands of the mighty’

‘Um… Agba yin a kale, Sir. Ke pe fun wa.’

‘Amen. Please get something to eat.’
