WALK IN LIGHT

Ephesians 5:8-14

8 - Apostle Paul was talking about two different dispensation and their realities. The old man is darkness, the new man is light...the default state of a new man is light, hence the walk as children of light

9 - the seed of God is sown in the new creation man at salvation. The fruit includes goodness, righteousness and truth

10 - the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in us makes us know what is acceptable of the Lord. This requires a daily communion. Just the same way you know what dad likes and dislikes through daily interactions with him

11 - I told you earlier that light exposes darkness. This scripture has confirmed that. Have no fellowship/communion with the unfruitful works of darkness rather fellowship with the fruitful works of light

12 & 13 - light does not fear being exposed, only darkness does. The only secret place we have is the place of prayer; and even this is open to fellowship with other saints. Notice that we are not to hate the Gentiles but to expose their evil works and shine the light of salvation on them

14 - Notice the ministry of Jesus in this scripture - Just as Christ gives light to men, he has commissioned us to do likewise. Christ shines through us here on earth.

Revealed! THE WORLD AND YOU

THE QUESTION IS OFTEN ASKED, what should be the relationship of the followers of Christ with the world system? So many have tried to withdraw entirely from the systems due to the fear of being corrupted. Moving around town some months ago, on the streets of Ilorin, Kwara State, I was especially drawn to the various business enterprises around town, but most especially the big eateries. I do not really know the owners of these enterprises but one thing I’m sure of - they are patronized by Christians as well. CHRISTIANITY IS NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH INFERIORITY The mentality of a consumer is so rampant in the Christian faith – some of which sprang from the idea that since Jesus is coming soon, we need not invest in something that would be of lasting value.
