GOING THE DISTANCE | SMAJ Publishing House
The will to go the distance is the key to any goal;
To stick it out despite the odds to choose the winner's role.
Or it would be so easy not to make a choice at all;
To turn your head the other way and just ignore the call.
One choice leads to a mountain-the other to a bog;
One leads up where the air is pure-the other through a fog.
To choose the right is surely hard, its challenges are tough;
It's climb is steep and awesome, it's surfaces are rough.
The multitudes just drift along with false pride in their voice;
And spend their days in vain pursuit of meaning in their choice.
Though they could find fulfilment and they could feel the touch;
Of goals and growth and greatness-that just requires 'too much'.
